Trulittle Scribe Hero (7-11)
Rachel loves writing and has been to 3 radio stations with her sister to talk about their books. Rachel is one the Girlsparkles team who also makes videos with her sisters. She published two books on anthology called "Passionate Poet - volume 1" and "26 Country Poems A-Z - Passionate Poet volume 2" which are books for families who are interested in learning new things and learning about other countries. She wrote the first book because she was inspired by her teachers about how well she writes poems. Her poems were regularly displayed by her teachers and use as an example.
She was encouraged to enter competitions outside school where she participated and got published by Young Writers. Since then she has used her research skills to compile her poems and written a second poem on 'must see' countries around the world. Adults also can learn new words and update their knowledge about poetry types and terms. Children are inspired to learn how to write their own poems. Over 50 of these books have been donated freely to school libraries across Europe and Africa with awesome feedback. Her desire is to write more books and have the books in school libraries around the world for other children to read and be inspired to be Authors themselves.
All books by Girlsparkles are available online on Amazon. I believe Rachel deserves an award for her hardwork and never giving up in the face of challenges. Her research skills and attitude to work are outstanding. She plans to keep writing and she is currently writing another book. She is such a book worm, who loves to read and write, she uses her creativity to promote business through animation creations. Also, as a poet and author of books, she inspires her peers, youth and the community at large. Her positive contributions to the society has inspired many children to be focus academically.

Ruth is a girl with a generous heart and one of the Girlsparkles. Apart from being an Author of 3 books (QuietTime for Young people volume 1, QuietTime for Young people volume 2 and Angel Kindly) she is a cheerful giver. When she hasn't got enough money to buy what she wants to give out to people on their birthdays, she takes time and energy to make crafts just to make people smile.
Ruth embarked on a Homeless Project in the community in 2017. She once interviewed homeless people to find out how they are doing, how they cope and why they are homeless. This gave her a bit of understanding of what it means to be homeless and how to help the less privileged in her own little way. Extra money made from book sales were utilised by buying gifts -mainly food items- for the homeless and rough sleepers at the Nuneaton town centre. These gifts included milk, socks, beans, brioche and fruit bars neatly wrapped as Christmas presents and given to the homeless on the streets on Christmas day.
Due to house move and a tragedy the family faced (burglary), she couldn't carry out the project in 2018 but she has started making plans to repeat the project in 2019 in Rugby on Christmas day. A video of one of her contacts with the homeless is in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6u7itTif-EA
I believe Ruth deserves to have an award for her book-writing skills and a cheerful heart of giving.

One of her biggest accomplishments so far were to travel to Kenya, Slovakia, Bali, Malaysia, Dubai and New York. When she went to Kenya, Inspiring Vanessa was doing volunteer work to support the children in an orphanage, in Western Kenya. This made her the youngest volunteer to go out, which made her feel very honoured. She actually planning to go back at the beginning of 2019! When she spoke in Slovakia, She had the opportunity to speak in front of 1000 people and it was such an incredible experience. Other accomplishments include attending different movie premieres as well as presenting shows like the London Fashion Week in 2018, February and September!
Her goal is to inspire other children and adults to be themselves, believe and have courage to be who they want to be ...INSPIRE - MOTIVATE – BELIEVE
Favourite quote - made by Inspiring Vanessa "life is like a flower, so try and keep those petals on" - it means that each petal represents stages of our lives, once we were a child and that petal falls of you can't take that time back again, so use your time wisely.

Rebecca is the organiser of Girsparkles consisting of 4 passionate sisters. Girlsparkles raised funds of over £500 to publish their books. Rebecca has written two books, "I can't do it yet but school is epic- transitioning from Primary to Secondary" and "The Star in the East" and her third book is in progress.
Despite facing challenges as a family by being burgled twice and their musical instruments, laptops with digital copies of their book and a lot of saved up piggybank money for Girlsparkles project were carted away, she and her sisters forged ahead. They did not stop producing videos or writing their books or studying for the different examinations they had to write. They kept the vision going by raising funds through customised products, organising events, creating a website etc. Rebecca has been invited to speak at Rugby FM radio, BBC Coventry and Warwickshire radio and Premier Christian radio. Her passion is to encourage other youths to become useful and relevant in their generation through seminars, talk shows, interviews, youth events and many more. Rebecca has received various commendations and certificates from teachers for being helpful and volunteering in school assembly to encourage her peers. She has been invited to community events to inspire teenagers and talk to adult about the dangers and benefits of gadgets.
She has been raising funds by creating video animations for brands and businesses to enable Girlsparkles get necessary devices for their studio project. She and her sisters enjoy making videos on Youtube, Instagram and Facebook (parent controlled) and this has improved their communication, creative and social skills. These skills are currently opening further opportunities into organising a community event for youths in collaboration with an event planner in London.
Girlsparkles believe that every child should be given the opportunity to excel, fulfil their potential without fear or limitation due to race, age, gender or belief. They deserve recognition of their excellent team work, perseverance in the face of adversity and outstanding hard work as sisters. Rebecca is the eldest and I believe she deserves an award for her creativity and entrepreneurial skills. She has the skills, and she uses her initiative to create animations to promote businesses. Also, as an author of books, she inspires her peers, youth and the community at large. Her positive contributions to the society has inspired many children to be focus.

Makaylah is inspiring young and old with her debut book: My First trip To Gambia. She visited with her dad in October 2014 . Gambia was a beautiful country with magnificent scenery and fabulous people. She was surprised. It was nothing like the lies she had heard about Africa. She had heard it would be wild and there would be lions and tigers roaming the streets.
After noting down some of her interactions and experiences in a journal, she discussed with her dad the idea of publishing her work. Makaylah through her colourful book, wants to "teach children about the continent of Africa and develop their confidence, self-esteem and sense of adventure."
What's more, 10 per cent of book sales will be donated to the Manhood Academy for Boys and the Womanhood Academy for Girls; two local initiatives which have been inspired by Gambian culture.
The project is aimed at young people in the African and Caribbean community who might have an absent father (or mother), the charity hosts weekly gatherings where topics like peer pressure, body image, mental health and the effects of social media are covered.
Makaylah is so proud of her book and speaks about her experience at every opportunity to her peers and others. She is excited about being an author and wants to write more books that combat stereotypes and inspires young people.

Melissa is 12 years old and she is also the author of the upcoming book Beautifully Complicated.
The following is a statement from her:
I believe in global education for every child, equal human rights for all genders and ethnicity colour and religion. My mum always says we share the same grandparents, Adam and Eve, but (unfortunately) the world is slipping through our fingers.
Melissa’s book, The Friendship Guide book, aims to help people of all ages build friendship in many different situations, the idea is to focus on teaching positivity and accepting yourself and help you overcome obstacles and improve relationships (melissashabani.com) and her upcoming book Beautifully Complicated which is an autobiography, teaching the others that no matter what difficulties we face in our lives we must not allow anything to stop us following our dreams and reaching our potential..
As well as her writing, Melissa is developing a teaching platform to reach worldwide to as many young and old people, who don’t have access to formal education. Her platform is called PEN
‘’I wanted to make an online educational course platform for children and adults, I named it PEN (Parenting, Education & Nutrition)’’. Although she has worked hard developing the platform she has not been able to launch it yet due to lack of finance, .www.peneducation.teachable .com.
I am sure winning the little hero award will motivate Melissa in her creativity and writing.
Melissa is hardworking, determined, intelligent and highly able, despite having inherited two untreatable and degenerative genetic disorders, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney (ADKPD).
These disorders impair overall kidney function over time and are mostly recognized in adulthood, however, like her sister, she has been affected with it since she was just a few months old. As a consequence, she is unable to attend school and pressures her educated at home.
And the upcoming books which I will send via email, Beautifully Complicated and The Book on Understanding Girls.
If you need to know more about Melissa the following links could help you.
