Gabriella has been a member of Thurrock Swimming Club for many years and has participated in all aquatic activities within the club. She has been a member of the Gold and Competitive Development squads and has represented the Club in inter club competitions and also qualified for the Essex Swimming Championships. Gabriella has also been a member of successful relay teams that have competed at County level. Gabriella has demonstrated that she is competent, determined and committed to swimming.  She gets up at 4am to attend morning training and will also train in the evenings as well.  In addition, she attends land training before her evening swims.  She completes all of this whilst completing her academic studies at school.

During lockdown Gabriella trained daily using the training plan drawn up for her by her PE teacher in school as well as her swimming coach (due to pools being shut). Also due to this closure, Gabriella went training in open water (at 2 different lakes) weekly for the first time with her older sister. On Sunday 20th of September, she will be competing for the first time in an open water competition, swimming a double distance of 1500m at Storm the Lakes 2020 in Cheshunt.
